Hello my lovely crocheters! My last post, where I shared with you a booties pattern was back in December. I can’t believe how fast time flies, it’s already August. Not long ago we celebrated our first year of Croby patterns designs and my aim for this year is to blog a lot more often than?I was, last year. You can expect a lot of new and exciting?stuff to come this year. Honestly, I can’t wait!? One of them is my FREE crochet pattern for baby booties Blue Whale. The pattern is very simple, with a lot of pictures, detailed instructions and written in two size 0 – 6 months and 6 – 12 months.
For these?pair of booties that you can see on the pictures, I am using 100% cotton yarn Fibra Natura. It’s an organic, soft yarn, that comes in variety of different and very nice colors. You can choose between pastels and ?very vibrant colors.?Their red color for example is just amazing. The only problem is, that the yarn according to the Ravelry is discontinued. I bought the yarn, month or two ago in one of my local yarn stores and I could find a few stores that sell that type of yarn online, but I am not so sure for how long it will be available. Probably ?until their supplies?will end. I am very sad, because this is one of the best cotton yarns that I’ve ever used. But never mind, you can use any type of yarn you like, just make sure the gauge is correct (you can read more about the gauge?HERE). I will try to answer on few of your questions before you ask me the same question multiple times?in the comments below! By the way, I totally understand that you do not read all the comment before you leave?your own, because there is just too many of then. For example Green Zebra pattern?for crochet baby booties has more than 150 comments and I cannot expect that everybody reads them all. If you didn’t try the pattern yet, you should! You can find it?HERE.? So let’s start! *?If you would like to create a?bigger size than for 12 months, just use a bigger crochet hook and a thicker yarn than the one specified in the pattern. Crochet one sole than?check if the final size of the sole is the size you want. If yes, continue on the upper part. If no, use an even bigger hook and a thicker yarn. *?Please, do not count ss at the end or the round or ch 1 at the beginning of the round as a stitch! If you have a stitch or more to much in your round, you’ve ?probably used one of your ss stitches as a stitch. *?The buttons in these booties?are functional. You can actually open the flip.?I am telling you that, because so many crocheters have had problems with nonfunctional buttons in the?Green Zebra pattern. *?There is no pdf version of these pattern. I am sorry, but not for now. You can come back and use the pattern?any time you like. You are very welcome here. *?You are the beginner and you would like to try the pattern…yes sure, why not!? Ok, this?post is slowly becoming the longest post ever!? Enjoy the pattern, enjoy your?life and happy crocheting! With love, Doroteja ?
