Hello my lovely crocheters!

My last post, where I shared with you a booties pattern was back in December. I can’t believe how fast time flies, it’s already August.

FREE Crochet Pattern - Blue Whale

Not long ago we celebrated our first year of Croby patterns designs and my aim for this year is to blog a lot more often than?I was, last year. You can expect a lot of new and exciting?stuff to come this year. Honestly, I can’t wait!?:)

One of them is my FREE crochet pattern for baby booties Blue Whale. The pattern is very simple, with a lot of pictures, detailed instructions and written in two size 0 – 6 months and 6 – 12 months.

Because I would like to share my work with as many?crocheters around the world as possible, please help me out and share the link to?the pattern with?your fiends that love to crochet too. It would mean the world to me.

Subscribe to my blog, come back more often, leave a comment or two on my posts, be a part of our Croby Patterns Family! ?It’s very simple, if the page gets more views per day/month/year, it means I am doing something right. And if the views will continue to grow the page will grow and the base of free patterns and great tips and tricks about crocheting with it.?

?

You are very welcome to share the link to this page, just copy the address of the page and paste it wherever you want, or click on the buttons Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter at the bottom?of the page. If you copy and paste the pattern …well that is stealing! So please do not do that.?

?

This pattern is property of Croby Patterns designs and?it?is for your personal use only. You can not modify, sell or share this pattern as your own. You can sell finished items made from this pattern, but please mention that the item is made using a Croby pattern.

Thank you!

For these?pair of booties that you can see on the pictures, I am using 100% cotton yarn Fibra Natura. It’s an organic, soft yarn, that comes in variety of different and very nice colors. You can choose between pastels and ?very vibrant colors.?Their red color for example is just amazing. The only problem is, that the yarn according to the Ravelry is discontinued. I bought the yarn, month or two ago in one of my local yarn stores and I could find a few stores that sell that type of yarn online, but I am not so sure for how long it will be available. Probably ?until their supplies?will end. I am very sad, because this is one of the best cotton yarns that I’ve ever used. But never mind, you can use any type of yarn you like, just make sure the gauge is correct (you can read more about the gauge?HERE).

I will try to answer on few of your questions before you ask me the same question multiple times?in the comments below! By the way, I totally understand that you do not read all the comment before you leave?your own, because there is just too many of then. For example Green Zebra pattern?for crochet baby booties has more than 150 comments and I cannot expect that everybody reads them all. If you didn’t try the pattern yet, you should! You can find it?HERE.?:)

So let’s start!

*?If you would like to create a?bigger size than for 12 months, just use a bigger crochet hook and a thicker yarn than the one specified in the pattern. Crochet one sole than?check if the final size of the sole is the size you want. If yes, continue on the upper part. If no, use an even bigger hook and a thicker yarn.

*?Please, do not count ss at the end or the round or ch 1 at the beginning of the round as a stitch! If you have a stitch or more to much in your round, you’ve ?probably used one of your ss stitches as a stitch.

*?The buttons in these booties?are functional. You can actually open the flip.?I am telling you that, because so many crocheters have had problems with nonfunctional buttons in the?Green Zebra pattern.

*?There is no pdf version of these pattern. I am sorry, but not for now. You can come back and use the pattern?any time you like. You are very welcome here.

*?You are the beginner and you would like to try the pattern…yes sure, why not!?:)?But be aware that crocheting baby booties is not the easiest crochet item?you could begin with, especially because you need two identical items, but hey,?you?should try it anyway! Failing is the part of the learning process too, right??:)?My first pair of crochet baby booties was a total disaster. Maybe some day, ?I will share some pictures with you guys.?:)

Ok, this?post is slowly becoming the longest post ever!?:)?So I will finish here.?I think?I covered all of the important topics. If you find something new, please leave the comment below. I will answer as soon as possible.

Enjoy the pattern, enjoy your?life and happy crocheting!

With love, Doroteja

You will need one sole for each shoe.
Find center back stitch of the sole; fold sole in half lengthwise. The stitch in the fold on is the one that you want.

Upper part of the shoe is worked with hook going from outside of shoe to the inside and the nicer side of the sole should be on the outer side of the shoe.

You should start each round in the joining stitch (ss) which should be in the center back of the heel.

Do not count the chain or ss stitch as a stitch at the beginning/end of round.

Row 8:Start in the 6th chain from the hook. You will create a button hole with your next st.?(Tip: If you would like to use a bigger or a smaller button add or take a ch or two in this part. For the example; instead of ch 16 in the previous row crochet ch 18 for bit bigger button. In this case you should start row 8 in the 8th chain from the hook. And if you have a bit smaller buttons than I have, than instead of crocheting ch 16 in row 7, crochet just ch 14. Hdc 10 into the chain. Hdc into next 24 (28). Sc into next 2. Ss into the last one.

BUTTONS

_DSC2503

Place the button on the outer side of the shoe. On the opposite side of the shoes flip.
Plase attch the buttons very well. Always think on your child safety!

EDGING

_DSC2502

This is not a real edging, I would?say more a very cute decoration.
Using MC yarn (I used just two strings of cotton yarn not the whole strand of yarn! ) place the hook where you’ve made your last ss in row 8 and ss all the way around the upper part of the flip. Sc 6 around the button hole and continue crocheting on the lower part of the flip. Ss 10 more time. Than fasten off.
